Checking the Speed of your connection

There are two popular sites that internet service providers use to find out how fast a customer's connection is.

The most popular, I believe, is Speedtest.net:

The other one would be Speakeasy. This one I haven't really tried but this is supposed to be as good as Speedtest.net

Verizon LTE

Verizon LTE.
It the commercial doesn't say much. And their website is just flashy. It's supposed to be faster than WiMax but the device options are limited to just USB modems. It's also more expensive than WiMax providers with no options for 3G. I see a lot of down side to this technology but there's also a lot of potential. I guess this is the best we've got so far until the REAL 4G technology is invented.

Original Clearspot

The original clearspot.
Although Clear doesn't sell these babies anymore there are people who still use it.
It requires the Motorola USB modem for it to function making it simply a portable wi-fi router.
